Safeguarding
Working with children and young people in your golf club can be incredibly rewarding but it also comes with responsibility to keep those who are in your care safe from harm.
As a Golf Club dealing with juniors it is important that each junior’s safety is safeguarded and that their experience of golf is one that will reinforce the positive aspects of playing the sport and encourage them to participate time after time.
The safeguarding section of our website will go through what your Golf Club should have in place. For further information and templates on all topics, please click here to visit our Club Hub page on Safeguarding or contact Fiona Power - fionapower@golfireland.ie 087 6373767 or safeguarding@golfireland.ie should you require any further information or guidance.
Golf Clubs should firstly identify and appoint a person to assume the role of Club Children’s Officer to co-ordinate the club’s approach to safeguarding and act as a point of contact for concerns.
