Golf Ireland are delighted to announce additional supports for the recruitment of girls into golf. Golf Ireland want to work with clubs to host an introduction day for new girls to golf and a follow-on programme to integrate girls into your golf club.
Up to €500 (£450 approx.) is available for clubs under this programme. The primary aim of this initiative is to support clubs to recruit new junior girls to golf. Clubs will be provided with guidance and support on how to approach this and how to implement a calendar of events to welcome the new girls into your club and into your Junior Section. Girls represent only 2% of club membership and Golf Ireland want to support clubs to increase participation among Junior Girls.
Each successful club will be supported through planning meetings and/or webinars with their Development & Club Support Officer and/or Golf Ireland's ED&I manager as well as a suite of resources and training.
Successful clubs can opt in to an offer to bring juniors to the KPMG Women’s Irish Open in July 2025 free of charge. Clubs who take up this opportunity will be entered into a draw to attend a clinic by one of the professional golfers during the tournament.
